As of January 1, 2025, the entrance fee for each Meteora monastery is €5 per person, payable in cash at the entrance[6]. Previously, the fee was €3 per monastery[1][4], so if you are reading older sources, note the updated pricing. If you plan to visit all six open monasteries, the total cost will be €30 per person.
Bring sufficient cash for your visit, as card payments are not accepted at most monastery ticket counters[3]. The monasteries maintain a dress code; men must wear long pants and sleeveless shirts are not permitted, while women should wear skirts below the knee and have their shoulders covered[4]. Each monastery sets its own opening days and hours, so checking the schedule in advance is highly recommended[5]. On Saturdays and Sundays, all six monasteries are open to the public[5].
