The entrance fee for Yellowstone National Park is $35 per private, non-commercial vehicle (valid for seven consecutive days). Motorcycles and snowmobiles are $30, and individuals entering by foot, bicycle, or ski (age 16 and older) pay $20[1][2][6].
Annual and national passes are also available:
- Yellowstone Annual Pass: $70 (valid for one year only at Yellowstone)
- America the Beautiful Annual Pass: $80 (valid for one year at all U.S. National Parks and federal recreation lands)
- Senior Pass (age 62+): $80 lifetime / $20 annual (covers all national parks)
- Access Pass (permanent disability): Free (lifetime, covers all national parks)
- Military and Gold Star Family Pass: Free (must be picked up in person with appropriate documentation)
- 4th Grader Pass: Free for fourth graders and their families
Special notes: Children under 16 enter for free. All passes must be presented upon arrival, and digital passes should be purchased and downloaded in advance if possible[3].
If you visit both Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, separate entrance fees are required unless you hold a national pass[2].
On six designated free entrance days in 2025 (Jan 20, Apr 19, Jun 19, Aug 4, Sep 27, Nov 11), entrance fees to all national parks, including Yellowstone, are waived[5].
