The entrance fee for Wadi Mujib depends on the trail you select and your nationality. For most visitors, the self-guided Siq Trail is the most popular option, with an entrance fee of 21 JD (approximately $29 or €26) per person[1][2][5] (the price is the same for residents and non-residents on the Siq Trail). This includes entry only, and does not cover equipment rental, guide services, or transportation.
For Jordanians, the fee is 15 JD for water trails and 12 JD for the Ibex Trail[1]. Non-Jordanians pay 21 JD for water trails and 21 JD for the Siq Trail[1][2].
Other trails within Wadi Mujib may have higher entrance fees:
- Canyon and Malaqi Trails: Require a guide, with fees of 31 JD and 44 JD respectively[2].
- Ibex Trail (dry, winter): 17 JD[2].
Entry fees do not include equipment. Items like water shoes and dry bags are available for rent; for example, water shoes cost about 5 JD (7 USD), and dry bags about 8-11 JD (12 USD)[1][5]. Life vests are mandatory and provided free of charge[1].
The Jordan Pass does not cover entry to Wadi Mujib[2][5].
Season and opening hours: Wadi Mujib’s trails are open from April 1st to October 31st. The Siq Trail operates from 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., with the last entry typically at 2:00 or 3:00 p.m.[1][2][5] Capacity is limited (100–150 people on the Siq Trail), and slot availability is first-come, first-served. The reserve is closed from November to March due to safety concerns.
