Masai Mara Entrance Fee

The Masai Mara National Reserve entrance fees for 2025 are structured by residency status and season:

  • Non-residents (Tourists from outside East Africa):
    • Adults (18+): USD 100 per day (January 1 – June 30), USD 200 per day (July 1 – December 31)
    • Children (9–17 years): USD 50 per day, year-round
    • Children under 9: Free
  • Kenya Citizens:
    • Adults: KES 1,500 per day (January 1 – June 30), KES 2,500 per day (July 1 – December 31)
    • Children (9–17 years): KES 300 per day (January 1 – June 30), KES 500 per day (July 1 – December 31)
    • Children under 9: Free
  • East African Residents (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi):
    • Adults: KES 2,500 per day (January 1 – June 30), KES 5,000 per day (July 1 – December 31)
    • Children (9–17 years): KES 1,500 per day (January 1 – June 30), KES 2,000 per day (July 1 – December 31)
    • Children under 9: Free

All tickets are valid for 12 hours (6am–6pm). If you stay into the next 12-hour period or exit after the designated time, an additional daily fee applies. The entrance fee is the same whether your accommodation is inside or outside the reserve. Proof of identification (national ID or passport and resident permit/visa for East African residents) is required at entry. Children under 9 years are free across all categories.
