Entry to Meiji Jingu Shrine is free of charge; you do not need a ticket to enter the main shrine or walk its extensive, tranquil forest grounds.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]
However, if you wish to visit additional facilities within the precinct, there are separate admission fees:
- Inner Garden (Meiji Jingu Gardens): 500 yen (about 5 USD)[1][9][10]
- Treasure House: 500 yen[1][3]
- Meiji Jingu Museum: 1,000 yen for adults, 900 yen for high school students and younger[5][9]
All general shrine areas and forest walks remain accessible daily free of charge, from sunrise to sunset. The paid facilities, such as the Inner Garden and Museum, have their own opening hours and may change seasonally.[3][9]
