The entrance fee for York Art Gallery is as follows:
- Adult (25+): £8.50 (£9.35 with Gift Aid)
- Child (5-16 years): £5.10 (£5.61 with Gift Aid). All children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times
- Young Person (17-24) & Students: £7.65 (£8.42 with Gift Aid), valid ID required
- Under 5s: Free
- York Resident Child (16 and under, with YO postcode): Free
- Art Fund Member (National Art Pass): Free
- Friends of York Art Gallery: Free
- Concessions: Free for claimants of means-tested benefits (including Universal Credit), MAX Card holders, Museum Association Members, ICOM members, people seeking sanctuary or in the asylum process, Community Participation Card holders, National Museum Directors Council Reciprocal Scheme, Museum Development Yorkshire volunteers, Little Greene employees, York Museums Trust Patrons & Supporters, Blue Badge Tour guides, and carers accompanying a paying adult/child needing assistance
All tickets include access to the permanent collection and all special exhibitions. Advance booking is recommended to guarantee entry, and tickets are released in timed slots to manage visitor flow. For group visits of 10 or more people, advance booking is required[3].
