The entrance to the Tomb of Tutankhamun requires a separate ticket in addition to the main Valley of the Kings entry fee.
As of late 2024 and 2025, the price for entry to the tomb itself is 700 EGP (about $14.5 USD) per person[4][6]. Some sources list slightly different recent prices, such as 500 EGP or 750 EGP, but the most recent and official tourism and Ministry guidelines consistently specify 700 EGP[4][6].
This price is in addition to the Valley of the Kings general entry ticket, which covers three other tombs but does not include Tutankhamun’s. As of 2025, the general Valley of the Kings entrance fee is 750 EGP (about $15.5 USD)[6].
Tickets for Tutankhamun’s tomb must be purchased at the main Valley of the Kings ticket office before entering the site[4]. Most official sources and tour guides recommend buying in advance, as the special tomb tickets are limited each day to help preserve the site.
Discounts for students are available, usually at half price, but current discount rates should be confirmed before your visit[5][7].
