For SAARC country adults, as well as visitors from Thailand and Myanmar, the fee is 1,500 LKR. Foreign children and all children under 15, including those from local, SAARC, and non-SAARC countries, can enter free of charge. For Sri Lankan citizens, entry is also free[1].
Foreigners can purchase tickets at the temple entrance using ticket-issuing machines. The entrance ticket includes access to the Temple of the Tooth Relic as well as the Dalada Museum, the World Buddhist Museum, and the Tusker Museum within the temple complex[1].
Opening hours are from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. There are three main puja (worship) times each day: early morning (5:30–7:00 a.m.), morning (9:30–11:00 a.m.), and evening (6:30–7:30 p.m.)[1]. Dress modestly (cover shoulders and knees) and remove shoes before entering[2].
Some tour operators and online ticket sellers may offer guided experiences or bundled tickets at higher prices, typically around $30 USD per adult[4].
