Isola Bella Entrance Fee

The entrance fee for Isola Bella varies depending on which Isola Bella you intend to visit—one is on Lake Maggiore (Piedmont, northern Italy) and the other is in Taormina (Sicily). Please see details for both below.

Isola Bella, Lake Maggiore (Borromean Islands):

  • Adult entrance fee: €23-25 for the palace and gardens, depending on season and ticket type[3][5][7].
  • Youth admission (ages 6-15): €14-16[3][5].
  • Child (3-5 years): €5; infants under 3: free[5].
  • Tickets allow access to both the Borromeo Palace and the gardens. Combination tickets for visits to other Borromean sites are also available at higher prices.
  • Tickets can be purchased in advance online or on arrival[1][5].

The island is open daily from mid-March to early November; most seasons, last entry is at 17:00 (palace closes at 17:30, gardens at 18:00), with shorter hours in late October and November[5].

Isola Bella, Taormina (Sicily):

  • The nature reserve (garden and museum) entrance fee is around €4-5 per adult[2][4].
  • There are also free public pebble beaches around the island and beach clubs (“lidos”) with separate daily charges for sunbeds and umbrellas[2].

Access to the island is by foot via a narrow strip of sand, with opening hours generally from morning until sunset during the tourist season[4].
