For South African citizens, the entrance fee to the Cape of Good Hope gate is R105 for adults and R55 for children aged 2-12 years. South African pensioners aged 60 and above receive special rates of R60 for the funicular, although they must show identification to receive this discount.

SADC Nationals

Southern African Development Community (SADC) nationals enjoy a slightly reduced rate, with entrance fees set at R210 for adults and R105 for children. This pricing strategy reflects the policy of fostering regional engagement among neighboring countries.

Foreign Nationals

For foreign nationals and international visitors, the entrance fee is considerably higher, priced at R455 for adults and R225 for children. Additional Attractions and Costs

The Flying Dutchman Funicular

The Cape Point Nature Reserve offers more than just the stunning views; it also features the Flying Dutchman Funicular. The ride provides a scenic journey to the iconic Cape Point lighthouse. This ride is not included in the entrance fee and costs an additional R90 for adults and R50 for children aged 6-16 years. Children under 6 can ride for free, although all children must be accompanied by an adult. South African pensioners can access the funicular for R50, but these tickets are only available at the Cape Point ticket office.

Operating Times and Natural Delights

The reserve operates from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm during the April to September period, with the restaurant, shops, and funicular opening at 9:00 am.
