Lion Rock Sri Lanka Entrance Fee

The entrance fee for Lion Rock (Sigiriya) in Sri Lanka depends on nationality and age, and includes admission to both the Sigiriya Rock Fortress and the Sigiriya Museum[1][3][5]:

  • Non-SAARC Foreign Adults (12 years & above): USD 35
  • Non-SAARC Foreign Children (6–12 years): USD 20
  • SAARC Country Adults & Children (6 years & above): USD 20
  • Infants & Toddlers (below 6 years): Free
  • Sri Lankan Nationals (Adults): LKR 120
  • Sri Lankan Nationals (Children): LKR 60

Tickets are available online via the Sri Lankan Government Central Cultural Fund website, or they can be purchased at the site[1]. The fees grant access to the gardens, frescoes, Mirror Wall, summit palace ruins, and the museum[3].

Opening hours are generally from 05:00 AM to 06:30 PM daily (ticket sales close at 5:00 PM). The site is most comfortably visited early morning or late afternoon to avoid heat and peak crowds[1][5].

A 15% VAT applies to foreign visitor tickets, and prices may change, so checking for updates before your visit is recommended[1].
