The entrance fee to Kiyomizu-dera Temple is 500 yen for adults and 200 yen for junior high and elementary school students. There is no fee for children under elementary school age. Starting April 2024, this revised fee applies for regular admissions as well as for special nighttime viewings throughout the year; no prior reservation is required and admissions are paid onsite[1][2]. Entrance is free for visitors with a disability certificate and one accompanying person[1].
Admission to the temple grounds and viewing areas is separate from the ticketed interior access—only the main building visit requires payment of the entrance fee[5].
